New York, NY, June 24, 2004-Greenhill & Co., Inc. [NYSE:GHL], a leading independent investment banking firm, announced today that H.C. Bowen Smith will join the firm as a Senior Advisor.
Mr. Smith, a veteran investment banker with 37 years of experience, will join Greenhill from UBS where he had also been a Senior Advisor. His area of focus is the forest products industry.
Mr. Smith had been with UBS and its predecessor company, Dillon Read, since 1990. Before that, he worked, for many years, at Goldman Sachs and Salomon Brothers.
