Brian Phillips to Join Greenhill as a Managing Director in London

NEW YORK, October 12 (PRNewswire) - Greenhill & Co., Inc. (“Greenhill”), a leading independent investment bank, announced today that Brian Phillips has joined the firm as a Managing Director based in London. Mr Phillips will spearhead the establishment of a European primary merchant banking business, focused on small and midcap opportunities, to complement Greenhill Capital Partners, which was launched in 2000 in New York.

Mr Phillips, 46, who joins from Legal & General Ventures (“LGV”), has over 20 years experience as an investment professional. During his six year tenure at LGV, Mr Phillips initiated and executed a number of buyouts. He served on the Boards of Directors of several of these companies, including Vue Cinemas and Tragus Holdings, the operator of the Café Rouge restaurant chain. Mr Phillips earned his degree from the University of Glasgow and qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in Scotland.
