New York, NY, May 6, 2004--Greenhill & Co., Inc. [NYSE:GHL], a leading independent investment banking firm, announced today that Ulrika Ekman has joined the firm as a Managing Director and General Counsel.
Ms. Ekman joins Greenhill from Davis Polk & Wardwell where she was a partner and a member of the Corporate Department. In her 14-year career at Davis Polk, Ms. Ekman represented numerous corporate clients and worked on many important domestic and international merger and acquisition transactions.

Ms. Ekman joined Davis Polk in 1990 and became a partner in 1999.
She graduated from Georgetown University in 1985. In 1990, she received her M.A. and her J.D., cum laude, both from New York University, where she was a member of the law review and the Order of the Coif. Ms. Ekman recently served on the Corporation Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
