NEW YORK, October 1, 2018 – Greenhill & Co., Inc. (NYSE: GHL), a leading independent investment bank, announced today that Todd VanderMolen has joined the Firm in Chicago as a Managing Director where he joins the industrial sector team to focus on the packaging sector.

Mr. VanderMolen has 22 years of investment banking experience focused on the industrial sector generally and the packaging sector more specifically, and has been based in Chicago for nearly his entire career.  He spent 13 years at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital (after its acquisition of Lehman), before joining the Chicago-based boutique advisory firm XMS Capital Partners.  He joins a team of four Managing Directors in Greenhill’s Chicago office, each of whom is a former colleague of his.

Scott L. Bok, Chief Executive Officer of Greenhill, said, “Our Chicago office, which just celebrated its tenth anniversary as part of our Firm, has been one of the great success stories of our Firm.  The team there has advised on more than 60 completed transactions since the opening of that office.  With the addition of Todd, someone already well known to our entire senior team in Chicago, we look to build further on that track record of success.  In joining that office Todd also becomes part of a global industrial team, where his expertise and relationships in the packaging sector will complement the capabilities of colleagues focused on nearly every other important subsector in the broader industrial space.  Todd is our eleventh Managing Director recruit of the year to date and represents another important step in building out our regional as well as industry sector capabilities.”
