Mr. Barber joined Greenhill in 2017 as a Managing Director and Vice Chairman, based in Toronto. He is focused principally on the global mining and energy sectors, but also advising leading Canadian companies across all sectors. Tom was most recently global head of the mining group at Nomura Securities.  Prior to that he held similar leadership positions in the mining and broader natural resources sector at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse.   Earlier in his career he spent 15 years at Morgan Stanley, where he founded the global mining group and was President of Morgan Stanley Canada. Tom received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto and his M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School at the University of Western Ontario.
