LONDON, November 9, 2006 — Greenhill & Co., Inc. [NYSE:GHL], a leading independent investment banking firm, announced today that Leiv Nergaard will join the firm as a Senior Adviser.
Mr. Nergaard is the Chairman of the leading Norwegian insurance company Storebrand ASA and Storebrand Liv AS, a member of Yara International ASA Board of Directors, Chairman of Joma International AS and has, in the past, served in the Board of Directors of many Norwegian companies.
Leiv Nergaard was most recently Senior Adviser to Norsk Hydro's Corporate Management (since 2003) and has previously served the company as President of Norsk Hydro Germany (2002-2003) and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer(1991-2002). In total, he has served Norsk Hydro in various capacities for 38 years.
Mr. Nergaard is also on the board of the Norwegian German Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Norwegian Swedish Chamber of Commerce and is the Council Director for European Council of Chief Financial Officers.
