Kenneth Crews Joins Greenhill As A Managing Director

New York, NY, March, 7, 2005 – Greenhill & Co., Inc. [NYSE:GHL], a leading independent investment banking firm, announced today that Kenneth S. Crews, a veteran M&A investment banker who has long specialized in energy and power, will be joining the firm as a Managing Director. Greenhill also announced that with the arrival of Mr. Crews, who is based in Dallas, it will open a Dallas office focused on the energy sector as well as other companies in that region.

Mr. Crews joins Greenhill from UBS where he had been Vice Chairman of UBS Investment Bank and a member of its Americas Executive Committee. Mr. Crews was the senior banker in UBS` Dallas office. Prior to joining the M&A group of UBS in September 2004, Mr. Crews had been its Global Head of Energy and Power. Robert F. Mr. Crews, 56, is a 30-year veteran of investment banking, who started at Lehman Brothers in 1974, becoming a General Partner in 1981. He joined Dillon Read as a Partner in 1992, and Dillon Read merged with UBS Warburg in 1998 and was subsequently renamed UBS.

Mr. Crews is a graduate of Davidson College, and holds an M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago. He is a Trustee of Davidson and a member of the Advisory Council of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.
