Mr. Akbar joined Greenhill in 2018. He principally advises clients in the energy and other infrastructure sectors and also leads the energy transition effort for the firm. Ali has over 20 years of M&A experience.
Prior to joining Greenhill, Ali spent 14 years at RBC Capital Markets in New York, where he most recently led the U.S. Energy M&A effort and was also co-head of the Valuation and Fairness Review Committee. Prior to that, he worked in the Merchant Banking Group at BNP Paribas. Ali began his career with the M&A group at Deutsche Bank.
Ali holds a BS from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
