New York, February 23, 2015 —Greenhill & Co., Inc. (NYSE: GHL), a leading independent investment bank, announced today that Jon Gidney will join the Firm as a Vice Chairman and Managing Director based in Sydney.
Mr. Gidney has over 20 years of investment banking advisory experience in the Australia and New Zealand markets, most recently as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at JP Morgan in Australia. He has been with JP Morgan based in Sydney for more than 10 years, having initially been recruited to join as head of its Mergers & Acquisitions group for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to his time at JP Morgan, he was a Managing Director at Caliburn, the Australian M&A advisory firm that Greenhill later acquired.
Mr. Gidney was part of the original team at Caliburn, which had worked together in the Sydney office of BZW, and was with that firm for the first five years of its existence, working closely with current Greenhill Australia Chairman Peter Hunt and Co-Head of the region Roger Feletto.
