Former Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell to Join Greenhill as a Senior Advisor

New York, February 2, 2011 – Greenhill & Co., Inc. (NYSE: GHL), a leading independent investment bank, announced today that former Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell will join the Firm as a Senior Advisor. Governor Rendell, who has had a distinguished career in public service, will focus on expanding Greenhill’s client advisory activities with respect to public-private partnerships, infrastructure projects and advising governments on a wide range of financial matters.

Governor Rendell served as 45th governor of Pennsylvania until his second term ended last month. He previously served as Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, as Mayor of Philadelphia from 1992-2000 and as District Attorney of Philadelphia from 1978-1985.

Governor Rendell currently serves as a partner of the Ballard Spahr law firm in Philadelphia, as a news analyst with NBC and MSNBC, and also teaches at the University of Pennsylvania.
